Sheriff Lafayette Woods, Jr. is a Jefferson County native, veteran law enforcement leader, JCSO Sheriff, UAPB graduate, CLEST commissioner, husband, father, and public servant.
Following graduation from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2004, Lafayette earned a BA Degree in Criminal Justice and went on to pursue a career in law enforcement with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in July of 2004.
